What is a Mobile Notary Public? A mobile notary is a state-commissioned public official who travels to a client's location—such as a home, office, hospital, or coffee shop—to verify identities, witness signatures, and notarize official documents.
What documents should I bring to a mobile notary? If you are unsure, bring them all and we can go through them together. Better safe than sorry :)
Can a mobile notary notarize documents for an apostille? An apostille is an official government certificate attached to a public document. It proves that the signature, seal, or stamp on the document is real. It allows you to use personal or business papers in another country. A notary that specializes in this service, as I do, can get your public documents apostille and ready for use in another country.
Can a mobile notary come to a hospital? YES!! I can certainly come to a hospital and help you and your family get those important documents signed. I want you and your family to be as comfortable as possible.
What identification is required? Under Texas law (Texas Civil Practice and Remedies Code § 121.005) these are types of ID's that are acceptable: 1. Driver's license or state ID from any other U.S. state 2. U.S. Passport or passport card 3. U.S. Military identification card 4. U.S. Permanent Resident Card (Green Card) 5. Valid driver's license or ID card issued in Mexico or Canada Foreign passport—note that Texas law allows this specifically for deeds or residential real estate transactions, or if properly stamped by U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS)
What documents can be certified as copies? In Texas, a notary public can certify (or "attest") copies of original, non-recordable private documents. Passports or driver’s licenses Diplomas and degrees Personal letters, contracts, or reference letters Resumes or employment records; just to name a few. Documents a Texas Notary CANNOT Certify (Public/Recordable) Birth certificates Death certificates Marriage licenses and divorce decrees; just to name a few recordable records
Can a mobile notary notarize Power of Attorney, Will and Trust Documents Absolutely!!! Estate Planning, is what most of those documents can be referred as; I can certainly notarize all of them for you
What if I do not have a valid government-issued photo ID? Two main ways we can ID you: 1. Notary Personally knowing the signer; the notary knows the signer well enough to have no doubt about their identity. 2. Credible Witnesses: The sworn oath of one or two credible witnesses. The witness(es) must either personally know the signer and present a valid, unexpired government-issued photo ID.
I need Ink Fingerprinting for my employer, can a mobile notary do that? Yes I absolutely can. I bring all the supplies you will need; 1. FD-258 applicant fingerprint card 2. Ink Pads 3. Wipes I make the process smooth and easy!!!
Can a mobile notary supply witnesses if required? If you do not have witnesses for your document, I CAN SUPPLY witnesses for you. A witness is someone that confirms the signing happened without fraud or force.
Can a mobile notary work directly with my attorney? Absolutely. I, myself, am NOT AN ATTORNEY but I have work with different attorneys on my client's behalf. This ensures all documents get notarized correctly especially for the attorney's office.
Can you perform Loan Signings as a mobile notary? I'm your "GO TO" notary when it comes to Loan Signings. I come to your house or Title/ Escrow Company Office. Let's make it happen!!!!! :)
